Trade talk on Wolf, Maddux cools | Padres.com: News
ST. LOUIS -- While trading veteran first baseman Tony Clark back to Arizona proved to be reasonably easy for the Padres, finding a suitor for pitcher Randy Wolf might not be as easy. Less than two weeks before the July 31 Trade Deadline, San Diego general manager Kevin Towers is still amendable to listening to offers for the left-handed Wolf as well as right-handed pitcher Greg Maddux. But, ... [link]

Quiet On The Maddux/Wolf Front
Published 7/19/2008 by Tim Dierkes at MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com
MLB.com's Corey Brock has an update on the non-rumors surrounding Padres pitchers Greg Maddux and Randy Wolf. Though many of the pitchers ranked ahead of Wolf have found new homes recently, trade talks are moving slowly.  Wolf has a healthy 101 strikeouts this year, but he's been inconsistent in general and lousy away from PETCO.  Previous ...

Quick hits: All-Star fixes, Ballpark Village, Lohse, and the Padres.

Give teams an extra day off or have the game ...

PADRES BEGIN TO PULL AWAY FROM THE MARINERS     Maddux has now gone 13 consecutive starts without earning a victory.  Padres blew a 6-3 lead and then a 7-6 lead. Cards are using us to get well. Our pitchers go on the road and forget the basics of pitching. I blame the airlines and their baggage fees. The trade market is cooling on The Wolf and The Mad Dog. No sh*t? The numbers are ugly. Maddux Road ERA: 6.05. Maddux Home ERA: 2.51 No invite, Jimmy??? What the deuce? The Wolf vs. Todd Wellemeyer.  GAME DAY ALERT!!! First pitch is at ...
