ProFootballTalk.com —
As expected, long-time Patriots receiver Troy Brown has announced his retirement from the NFL. Mike Reiss of the Boston Globe is blogging from the press conference, where Brown said that he passed on an opportunity to sign with the New York Jets. “ I had the opportunity to do it, but it didn’t feel right ,” Brown said. Per Reiss, Brown said he didn’t like the look of green and white. Brown played college football at Marshall, where he wore (you guessed it) green and white.
