Down The Byline blog is confirming that Kansas City has signed the Colombian striker who we posted a rumor about last Monday. We were very confident about this rumor and knew it would only be a matter of time before he was announced. However, so many people, including some well paid soccer journalists were puzzled by Kansas City not drafting a forward when they had the chance during the SuperDraft. If they read MLS Rumors like you do they'd already have had the answer.

... Franco Neill is done, according to Mr. Goff (although Yahoo Sports beat him on that one). Other announcements could be forthcoming later this week. There's also the shirt sponsor business, which is rumored to be announced soon as well. Verizon is the odds on favorite. DC even ditched its 3 stripes across the chest to make room for a sponsor, so I guess it should be coming soon. Kansas City: The Wiz deal with Ivan Trujillo is done, according to our KC blog friends.
