It's long been my belief that each major league team should just revert to their 1982 unis and call it a day. To a team, each look was better than the one they currently wear — yes, even the Astros — and souvenir sales would go through the roof. There's simply no down side. But while my proposed retro revolution has unfortunately come nowhere close to becoming a reality, at least we're making progress. On Monday, the Twins announced they'll be wearing their threads from the first year of the Metrodome for their last year of playing in the dump Dome. Like ‘Duk over at the Stew, I am a big fan of the retro jerseys. Just take a gander at any of these White Sox prototype unis; if the Sox ever busted these out next year, I would be a very happy blogger.
Well, with the Twins spending their final season in the Metrodome in 2009, they’ve got plans to sport a similar jersey to what the rocked in 1982 at Saturday home games all season.
