"In LA. Keeping an eye on the Spurs and Hornets game. Won't make a prediction because they are both great teams."

"So when I was asked what it will take to win tomorrow night, I said Score More Points."

Are we sure this is Deron Williams and not Joe Morgan?

No, we're not sure, but there's a better chance it's really Deron than it is for these guys being real.

I've had multiple conversations about this during the past couple weeks, and the consensus seems to be in the in affirmative. He's @replied someone before. Sure, there's plenty of reason to be skeptical.

Deron's Twitter Feed Is Brilliant in Its Simplicity
The Sporting Blog — ... sends traffic my way. All that changed this morning, when a friend put me on to Deron Williams's Twitter lair . I'd heard that the Jazz were planning to get more web-savvy and accessible, but this is really next level. Deron cuts to the quick with every one of these, making for an overall effect that's both strangely informative and almost Zen-like in its simplicity. Some samples: Some people have asked who we'd rather play in the next round. It's too early to worry about that. We have 2 get a w tomorrow. 08:58 PM May 13, 2008 In LA. Deron Williams is 'Twittering' his heart out
Ball Don't Lie — ... . What's Twitter you ask? It's an online tool that allows you to post brief messages to the world. Think your Facebook status meets a mini-blog. It's pointless stuff, but in the hands of an NBA point guard, pretty fascinating. For example, here's D-Will's latest "tweet" posted some 15 hours ago: "We watched film of great players having amazing games when they were sick or injured. The point was that Kobe will be playing 100%." ...

Deron Williams on Twitter
Give Me The RockTwitter.com/deronwilliams He is still one of my favorite players solely based on the fact that he played at U of I when I was there, and he now stands as the only player that I like on the Jazz (Ronnie Brewer might make it if he ends up on one of my fantasy teams next season). It was once postulated that Blogs (by athletes) would change the way we play fantasy sports. Since Twitter limits the length of messages to 140 characters, it might be more manageable for athletes (no offense or anything). Of course, it would limit the number of exclamation ...

10 basketball twitterers you should follow
Peter Robert Casey - The interplay of basketball, social media, and marketing — ... Back in late October, I was thrilled to announce on ESPN The Mag that Deron Williams had a Twitter Feed. Unfortunately, his page no longer exists. Was I disappointed? Of course. But, Deron's departure is not reason enough to abandon the trendy micro-blogging platform. In fact, there are a bunch of basketball heads using the social networking tool to add value to the greater hoops community. Here are the 10 people in the basketball circle whose tweets you should be following: 1) Barack Obama - @BarackObama ...

emptythebench.com 5/15/2008 — Women? They come and go – particularly LA women. On to the next one. But a Lakers’ loss at home in Game 5 to Utah? Now that would have been hard to recover from. It was difficult to watch – in fact, my dental appointment went smoother, but The Purple and Gold found a way to secure a 111-104 victory over the Jazz. And that’s what serious title contenders do: win the ugly ones.

Postcards From LA, Vol. 10: One Lakers Fan Tracks His Team Through the NBA Playoffs
emptythebench.com 5/17/2008 — If you could bottle a stretch of Lakers basketball and replay it endlessly for the rest of the season, it would be the first half of Game 6. The Lakers looked like true championship contenders, playing inspired team ball. If they can summon and sustain the brand of basketball they played in the first half of Friday in their next series, they’re going to the NBA Finals, regardless of opponent.
