All Star Reserves Announced
Published 2/1/2008 at CelticsBlog
The reserves for the All Star Game were announced this evening before the game. Predictably, Paul Pierce made the team and Ray Allen was left off the roster. The talk in the locker room was regarding the selection of Joe Johnson and Pierce had the following comments: I thought Ray should have been there also based on record and what we're doing team-wise. He's very important to what we're doing. Paul went on to say that he felt Ray should have been chosen over Joe Johnson based on the assertion that record should play a signifcant part in determining the selections. I ...

The sophomore guard joins some elite company on the roster as a reserve: First-time All-Star selections Chris Paul and David West of New Orleans are joined by fellow first-time selection Brandon Roy of the Portland Trail Blazers as Western Conference reserves, along with Carlos Boozer of the Utah Jazz, Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire of the Phoenix Suns, and the Dallas Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki. This is a great day for Roy, Nate McMillan, Kevin Pritchard, the Blazers, and the fans. And a huge honor for Roy to be selected by the conference coaches, maybe more so than the fan ...

As I'm sure you've all heard by now the Warriors will be continuing their unfathomable steak of 13 straight NBA All-Star weekends without a player in the Sunday spotlight. [NBA.com: All-Star Index | Reserves] via: Yahoo! Sports NBA Before everyone makes the jump can I get a moment of silence for Mr. Latrell Fontaine Sprewell? Before the annual All-Star outrage boils (actually, I'm pretty sure it already has) I want to congratulate the fans for not voting in Tracy McGrady (I love watching him play, but ...
