That was fun.  The rain made it all the more dramatic.

Of course, I would have liked to see Arsenal in there, but this was really United's year.  It was appropriate that Ronaldo got the one regulation goal.  I seem to recall him doing that all season long !

Manchester United And Chelsea Tied 1-1 The HalfAwfulAnnouncing
I figured since a lot of you are at work and unable to watch the UEFA Final that I'd throw up videos of the goals as they happened. Man U went up with Christiano Ronaldo heading home a cross from Wes Brown in the 26th minute and they appeared to be headed to the half up 1-0. That's when Frank Lampard jammed home a bouncing ball off a defenders back in the 45th minute. We're tied 1-1 at the ...

The Champions League final is on ESPN, and everyone's pretty much going batshit over this one, as the upstart Chelsea take on the old power of Manchester United. It's about 20 minutes in and nobody's scored yet, so you still have a chance to see the one goal in this game before they score it.  Update: 26 minutes in, Ronaldo heads one in. I thought Ronaldo was Brazilian?

We’re about 10 minutes away from kickoff in Moscow for the Champions League final between Manchester United and Chelsea , a match ESPN’s anchors (presumably with John Skipper aiming a gun at their heads) hopefully describe as “European soccer’s Super Bowl”.
