According to the Dave Meltzer in this week’s print edition of the Wrestling Observer, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Forrest Griffin will square off in a light heavyweight title bout on July 5th at UFC 86. Fireworks and fights, baby. HT: Bloody Elbow

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will finally face off against Forrest Griffin at UFC 86 on July 5th in Las Vegas, according to Dave Meltzer’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Assuming the fight announcement holds true, by the time we see Rampage and Griffin meet in the octagon it will be about ten months since either last competed. Currently, Quinton and Forrest are busy taping the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter which is slated to premiere on April 2, immediately following the special three hour broadcast of UFC Fight Night 13.
