UFC President Dana White, the self-imposed Grim Reaper, is bringing UFC 99 to the the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Germany on June 13 according to Sherdog.com.
Since the UFC will be making its first appearance in the land of Wiener Schnitzel, it will no doubt be looking to stack it’s main event card with some of the worlds most recognizable faces in all of combat sports, including the aging but still popular icons Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture.

The UFC will hold its first event in Germany on June 13 at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, the biggest indoor venue in the country with a maximum capacity of 20,000 seats. A contract between Zuffa and Marek Lieberberg, Europe's leading concert promoter, was signed during the passing of UFC 91 in Las Vegas over a week ago.

According to Sherdog.com, the UFC is expected to continue its European expansion as it is rumored to be heading to Germany for UFC 99 on June 13th. Rumored to headline the event is former UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture taking on the former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell in what will become their forth meeting. Liddell who holds a 2-1 record over Couture, is expected to make the jump to heavyweight for the proposed forth battle.

If you ask me (and I assume you are asking in a hypothetical way since you’re on my damn website) I’d say I don’t expect the UFC to hit up Japan in 2009, but then again I would have placed Germany somewhere in the same area of unlikeliness right up until word came out last month that they were locking down dates. ...
