The only real issue was the first half defense. College of Charleston shot 46% in the first half and hit 8 of 18 three pointers. Those made threes helped Charleston stay close until a small run at the end of the half gave the Heels a 12 point halftime edge. ...

First off, no Heel got more than Danny Green's 24, and nine Heels got 15 or more minutes, and as was pointed out in the recap at the THF site, the subsitutions came earlier than normal in this game. I think that was done for two reasons. First to get all of the players back into the swing, or to bounce back, after the loss. Secondly, to keep all the starters fresh as Sunday they will face fourth ranked Wake Forest on the road. A tough team, who hasn't had to play a middle of the week game like UNC did.
