Every team loses once in a while. That's what happened to the 14th ranked North Carolina (47-9-1, 16-2 in the ACC) team in their first game against Virginia Tech (40-12, 16-3 in the ACC) this weekend. [link]

North Carolina (47-8-1) won their tenth game in a row as they beat Winthrop (30-16) in a double header. The Lady Heels took the first game by a score of 4 to 3 and in the second game they won 2-0.

UNC beats Va Tech for ACC crown

Saturday's game was halted due to the weather so #14 North Carolina (49-9-1, 18-2 in the ACC) had to wait a day to receive what they had been waiting for, the ACC regular season crown.
