UNC linebacker Wesley Flagg has been dismissed from the team for violating team policies. Flagg, a junior, started three games last season at middle linebacker, played on special teams and made a total of 23 tackles. In 2006, Flagg was one of four true freshman to get playing time. ... As if one player leaving a North Carolina team was not enough there is a second one that has departed ways with the UNC athletic program. And while Alex Stepheson is leaving Chapel Hill due to a family health issue, this second one's only silver lining is that it's not another basketball player.
