Bonderman has had a pretty heavy workload for his age -- although he's been around forever, he doesn't turn 25 until October, and is younger than (among others) Armando Galarraga, Kam Loe, and C.J. Wilson, and is only six months older than Thomas Diamond. Will Carroll says there's reason for Tigers fans to be optimistic that he'll bounce back, even if he's shut down for the season, but also notes that the sort of heavy workload Bonderman has had -- 923 1/3 major league innings in his career, including 535 major league innings before his 23rd birthday -- can sometimes cause problems over the long haul.
