Peyton Manning couldn't prevent the defending Super Bowl champions from going home, even with LaDainian Tomlinson and Philip Rivers on the sideline for the San Diego Chargers. All hopes for keeping Belichick and the Patriots out of the Super Bowl now depend on Norv Turner.

Raise the Jolly Roger — ... The Colts-Chargers game was fantastic. Back-and-forth all the way, and though a lot of people like Indy, you had to pull for San Diego once Rivers and Tomlinson left the game and the rest of the team stepped up heroically. Peyton Manning, as the announcer said, "played really well except for 2 interceptions." The Colts played well, but San Diego made some unbelievable plays and deserved to win the game, which they did, 28-24. ...

The Perfect Storm
The Ballclub — ... at QB. That was really the "Holy Shit" game of the weekend, because I don't know anybody who was giving San Diego a chance. Yes, with this upset, it takes all the steam out of the Colts/Patriots AFC Championship game that everyone wanted to see (sort of like the Cowboys/49ers games in the 90s), but don't discount the Chargers next weekend either.
