Somewhere along the way, bad sportswriters got together and decided that simply making crazy overstatements or predictions counted as being funny. Sort of like the stand-up comedian who tries to skate by on being "outrageous" or "saying what you're afraid to say." I hate those guys. ... As for tonight's game, the Mets turn to El Duque to hopefully clinch a victory in the first series of the season. I certainly won't pretend it's the end of the world if the Mets lose today, or even tomorrow. It's just one series, but it'll be nice to get things rolling in the right direction, especially against St. Louis.

... , but now that I m on to them it s a daily read. Or at least, semi-daily. Yesterday they did a great job of tearing apart a article from Seattle PI s own Art Thiel. The thing is they are dead on in ripping Thiel. Yes, I read Out of Left Field and quite enjoyed it and really he should have stopped with the book. Anyways go read Unfunny Hyperbole , it s well worth the read. And even though this is going to sound hack, FJM brings the funny. Thank you, Aaron Sorkin.
