The USGA needs Woods to win so they can dismiss any truth talk about how they hoisted another ridiculous U.S. Open setup on the American public. Cabrera holds off Tiger & Furyk to win U.S. Open

Angel Cabrera is the U.S. Open champ, the fourth straight foreign-born champion in the national championship of American golf. He did it by outlasting Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk on a frantic back nine. Cabrera finished at 5-over par after shooting a final-round 69, his second sub-par round of the tournament.
