On a sunny and pleasant Father’s Day in southern California, The U.S. Men’s National Team did something they had never done in the entire history of the team dating back almost 100 years…they won an official sanctioned FIFA match by eight -count ‘em - eight goals… The final scoreline read 8-0 in the side’s first 2010 World Cup qualifying match, which was versus Barbados and held at the Home Depot Center. US vs. Barbados Video Highlights

It took just seconds for Clint Dempsey to put the U.S. on the board as they cruised to an 8-0 victory over Barbados on Sunday at the Home Depot Center. Dempesy and Brian Ching each had a pair of goals. Donovan notched his 36th while Michael Bradley and Eddie Johnson joined in the scoring. Barbados also notched an own-goal in the effort.
