(from US Soccer) All 16 matches of the invitation-only Toulon International Tournament will be shown in the U.S. on Fox Soccer Channel, with 14 of the matches live. --- The U.S. under-23 national team is preparing for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and this tournament gives players a chance to impress for a roster spot. --- The 8 teams playing in France include powerhouses like Italy and the hosts.

This morning I watched as the US U-23 men were outworked, outplayed and outscored. It is a good thing this was the "B" U-23 team because they were unimpressive, slow on the ball, made poor passes and didn't play well as a team. Defender Jonathan Leathers played the full 90 for the U.S. U-23 team today in a 3-2 loss to Turkey in the Toulon tournament. Leathers played right back in the first half and left back in the second half. Those of you who watched the match on FSC, how did he look? Reports say he was excellent in the second stanza.
