I don't know about you, but I'm waiting with bated breath for the release of the Mitchell Report. It's sort of like hot gossip from People Magazine, except for sports fans. So while we wait, I figure we can play a little game: to anyone stopping by to read this, list five players who won't be included as steroid users on the Mitchell Report. The Mitchell Report is set to get dropped in one hour, and when it does BASEBALL WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!! Unless the list mainly contains players that everyone pretty much knew were doing something. WEEI and WNBC erroneously reported that Red Sox captain Jason Varitek was included in the report. He was NOT named as was originally reported, and so far Julian Tavarez’s name is not reported either. The Mitchell Report was released today and there were no current Tampa Bay Rays named as suspected users of Performance Enhancing Drugs. Some will look at the lack of Rays on the list and exclaim that it "explains a lot".
