Len Pasquarelli says that the state charges that can be brought against Vick is holding up a plea deal. Surry County Commonwealth's Attorney Gerald Poindexter tells me he hasn't been contacted regarding any potential deal. Does Len have bad sources, or is there a major impasse in the plea negotiations? Clearly the state charges weren't a major stumbling block, but Billy Martin's statement explicitly notes that they reached an agreement on FEDERAL charges only. Once we learn Vick's prison term, you'd be a fool to think that's all he's serving.
