Shepard Smith asks Ole Miss to stop singing “The South will Rise Again”
Digital Sports Daily — In a recorded video message, Fox News Channel anchor Shepard Smith asks Ole Miss students to stop singing “The South Will Rise Again.” Smith says that the song hurts recruiting, painting a distorted picture of the University, one which has changed greatly. The school was desegregated in 1962 when James Meredith fought for his enrollement at the school, after which riots ensued where two people were killed. The Video can be seen here.
