... . One of my least favorite things about sports writers is the assumption that people they are covering owe them something, namely time and quotes. We've seen it in the Gilbert Arenas situation. He used to give great quotes, spend extra time with reporters, etc. Now, he's quit doing that, focusing on his game (and he's been great so far this season, BTW), and many of the reporters now getting quotes like this feel snubbed.
