It was a really great night for the Fire while visiting RFK Stadium to take on the 4-time MLS Cup champions DC United. In this nationally televised primetime match on ESPN networks, Chicago improved their record to 5-1-1 with a 2-0 win. This is the first match of round 7, so the victory moves them for the moment to the top of the Eastern Conference table.
