In what is becoming something of a regular Independence Day tradition, the LA GALAXY and the NEW ENGLAND REVOLUTION met on the night of July 4. The special Independence Day match between the Eastern and Western Conference leaders turned out to be the match that produced the MLS Player of the Week.   Adam Cristman scored both of the Revs’ goals, giving the team their second consecutive POW award, after Steve Ralston was voted the honor for Week 14.
