Take one part bad luck, two parts bad penalties, one part inexperienced quarterback, one part bad timing mistakes and one part not being lucky and that is the recipe for disaster that today North Carolina (2-1, 0-1 in the ACC) had against Virginia Tech (3-1, 2-0 in the ACC).
