Wade really needs to look in the mirror
Wade confirmed Thursday to the Houston Chronicle that he told Chacon to "look in the bleeping mirror." According to Chacon's account, Wade yelled and cursed at him. Can you imagine another GM talking that way to a player in front of his teammates? The White Sox's Ken Williams, maybe. But the Yankees' Brian Cashman? The Red Sox's Theo Epstein? The Phillies' Pat Gillick? Never. [link]

Saturation point: Boston Globe to offer next fanboy an internship

Please, just stop. I'm borderline embarrassed to be a Red Sox fan these days -- almost to the point of saying, "I miss Dan Duquette's (non-existant) marketing staff." But today's post-2004 era is the soul reason why the Red Sox went from most beloved to most despised in just a mere four years. It's a capitalistic cult, saturated beyond the boiling point.
