Fantasy owners rejoice: Fausto Carmona ’s extended stay on the DL is nearing an end. He was able to toss 5 innings last night in a 7-2 win against the AA Erie Sea Wolves. Though he allowed 9 hits in those 5 innings, he was able to induce three double plays - a good sign that he has been able to locate the ball low in the zone and flex his trunk over his formerly strained left hip. He threw 80 pitches over those 5 innings, and the Indians will likely wait to see how his hip responds to the effort.
