The move was designed to lure Oklahoma fans, many of whom can't fathom a Sooner game going on without their presence, to purchase season tickets for their rival. The plan worked. Oklahoma State sold a record 39,600 season tickets, an increase of over 6,000 from 2007. In fact, season tickets are still being sold just days before the Cowboys' last home game of 2008.
