Washington, DC | Local Man Loses Bet And Goes Homeless Links6
WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)-- During the last week in June, Chris Jollay slept, ate and panhandled on the streets of the District. The 36-year-old Alexandria, Va. government contractor says he did it for a bet. The Bet Jollay is a longtime Milwaukee Brewers fan. His college friend David Christman cheers for the Philadelphia Phillies. The two George Mason alumni bet in 2007 on which team would have a ... [link]

The Milwaukee Brewers’ 83 wins in 2007 was the franchise’s most since 1992. While the season was considered a success by many, the Brew Crew still fell two wins short of the pennant winning Chicago Cubs and more importantly to Chris Jollay, four wins short of the Philadelphia Phillies. ... Two D.C. area men bet over which team would finish with more wins in 2007, the Phillies or the Brewers. The Phillies finished with more wins. As a result, Chris Jollay, a 36 year old Brewers fan, lost and lived as a homeless man for a week. ...

Brewers Fans Are Asking For Change…
Published 7/18/2008 by Matt Sebek at STLSportsMag
Since the Brewers have made themselves into an actual National League Central threat over the past few seasons, the “rivalry” between Milwaukee and St. Louis has gotten stronger. Minus a late-season La Russa/Yost kerfuffle last season, the “rivalry” has been relatively well-tamed - mostly because the Milwaukee lineup in tolerable, and their fans aren’t stab-you-in-the-eye annoying, like one city due 100 miles South of Milwaukee. But, we found one Brewers fan that needed to be recognized…. According to WUSA9.com, long time Brewers’ fan, Chris Jollay, stood next to his word ...

Milwaukee Brewers Fan Goes Homeless For His Team After Losing A Bet
Published 7/18/2008 at FanIQ Blog
I'm sure at some point in all our lives, we've all lost a bet where we had to pay for it in spades. I remember I once had to run around the outside of a house naked in the middle of winter because I said I'd win a game that I didn't. But as bad as that was, it's nothing compared to this. A Brewers fan and a Phillies fan, who both live in DC, made a bet about which team would finish the 2007 season with more wins. Obviously, the Brewers fan lost. And his penalty for this lost bet? Live homeless on the streets of DC for a full week. Yikes. Now, I lived in DC for two years once. This is NOT a city you want ...

Brewers Fan Loses Bet and Spends a Week Homeless as a Result
Published 7/18/2008 at FanHouse
Filed under: Brewers, Phillies, MLB FansTwo friends -- one a Brewers fan and one a Phillies fan -- made a bet on whose team would have the better season in 2007. Clearly the Phillies fan won the bet. But since these guys somehow got bored of standard American currency, it took until late June for him to collect. That's how long it took Chris Jollay (seen to your right), the 36 year old Brewers fan, to get enough vacation saved up at his new job so he could spend the week being homeless. That's right. He lost a bet and had to go homeless. If Jollay won, then the single man would get to live ...
