Wizards defender Jonathan Leathers played 90 minutes for the Under 23 team in Toulon, their first game of the tournament. Hillcrest Road writes a bit about it , and Mike from Down the Byline gives a more detailed description . Overall, the US lost 3-2 to Turkey in their opening match in France. Hopefully Peter Nowak will give him the same sort of attention in the next two games.

This morning I watched as the US U-23 men were outworked, outplayed and outscored. It is a good thing this was the "B" U-23 team because they were unimpressive, slow on the ball, made poor passes and didn't play well as a team.
