It's getting to the point where it's tough to come up with reasons not to fire Scott Skiles. This team is just abysmal to watch, and especially listen to, when hearing about how they're getting better while scoring 78 points in consecutive games to the Knicks and Raptors. The freaking Knicks! A team that can't play any defense and is always looking for an excuse to roll over and die each ... [link]

Bulls Need Slumpbuster

... Fire the Coach!! No, that's just ridiculous and anyone who says that at this point needs to have their head examined. While I'm all for 'fresh starts' and crap like that, it's not time to let Scott Skiles go. Has he not led this team to multiple playoff appearances? Isn't he the one who installed the offense that became a thing of beauty the past couple of seasons? Is he not the one who changed the entire mentality of this franchise by instilling hard work and intensity? The answer to each of those questions is....Yes. The players are still being put in position to succeed, they ...

Worse Than Hell, or, The Radical Meaning(lessness) of 2-10

... it means that they have consequences; they matter and are thus important, and by extension, we matter and are thus important. It may seem counterintuitive, but, psychologically speaking, it's much more of a consolation to live in fear of casting a lascivious eye at the hottie waiting at the bus stop (because that leer might be profoundly meaningful) than it is to cast it guilt-free, yet with the horrible knowledge that we are Straw Dogs to the Sage. There's been a lot of talk lately about firing Scott Skiles, blaming him for the Bulls' miserable start. ...

We're back like New Wave riffs. Sorry for the lack of jumpers, but we were distracted with booze and turkey and travel and the Border War (suck it, Kansas). But we're back to our love now. And oh, what a week it's been. Someone want to explain to us what in the Holy Hell of The Upside Down Sinners happened last night? I watched the Warriors-Suns game, and it was incredible, but seeing Monte Ellis go ballistic? The Wizards beat the Mavs? The Kings, for God's sake? The Kings? You know what? Just another night in the Association. So we're gonna fire right back into the game. And we're even backing up to make up for ...

A quick look around the interweb while thanking Silvio for the lovely new Christmas banner, complete with whores! David Haugh is just trying to start trouble. [ Chicago Sports ] Scott Skiles is not the problem, people. [ Blog a Bull ] Seriously, who hasn't thought about humping a goal post before? [ Deadspin ] Some similarities between the 07 Bulls and 07 Cubs. [ Chicago Bull ] Mark Prior can't wait to put on those Yankees pinstripes. [ The Dugout ]

We know what is wrong with the Bulls. All their players are bad.

John Hollinger does the work in pointing out exactly how bad this start has been. It's a pretty academic exercise: all the players stink. The worrisome part is that this isn't just a slow start. The offense is historically awful. Every single player ('cept Joe Smith) is playing worse than last year. But the more you read it's almost therapeutic. Yes, the Bulls are really playing incredibly awful. But it's so awful that you'd have to think it won't continue. Simply: It's a fluke. A group of players this young (save Wallace, if he's really toast) don't suddenly all forget how to play. They'll get ...
