Well it looks like it's a done deal and will be made official tomorrow. America's Next Top Warrior! Use your hops for some more Webber links. (Yes this honestly amuses me more than The Yi Movement!) Straight from eWebber [ESPN.com]: ...
The Worst Idea In the History of Bad Ideas
Published 1/29/2008 by Brian at Depressed Fan
If this story from ESPN.com doesn't leave you scratching your head, I don't know what to say to you. Golden State is the worst defensive team in the league, by points allowed per game. They do a pretty good job of covering up that fact by being one of the most-athletic teams and putting up 105 points per game. If Chris Webber is to be believed, the Warriors are on the verge of signing him. So, just to recap, the worst defensive team in the league is about to sign possibly the worst defensive big man in the league. A big man who can't ...
“It’s a Done Deal”: Webber to Sign with Warriors
Published 1/29/2008 by Adam at The Piston Post
... But this brief proclamation to confirm that he’s returning to the team and city where he began his NBA career in 1993 — and where he lasted only one season because of a fast-crumbling relationship with Nelson — will be sufficiently stunning to longtime Warriors fans who believe that the breakdown of the initial Webber-Nelson partnership plunged Golden State into more than a decade of despair.

It appears that the deal making Chris Webber an official citizen of Nellieville is all but done. So says, C-Webb, at least. As reported by Marc Stein: Chris Webber told ESPN.com on Monday night that he will arrive in Oakland on Tuesday to officially re-join the Golden State Warriors and play again for Don Nelson. "I'll be there tomorrow," Webber said via e-mail. "It's a done deal." Throughout the Webber-to-Oaktown rumor phase, it certainly seemed that there was plenty of negative sentiment from pundits and fans alike surrounding the value of such a move for the ...

Those rumblings in Warriors Rumorville were true. Those Gary Payton ideas were mere smokescreens. Looks like Chris Webber will finally be reunited with Nellie after 13 long years. From ESPN: "I'll be there tomorrow," Webber said via e-mail. "It's a done deal."Any Golden State fan will tell you about the fiasco that was the tenure of Chris Webber and the aftermath of the trade. Just because we're masochists, let's revisit those wayward days: Webber for Penny Hardway and three first-round draft ...
"A done deal"

... -Chris Webber told ESPN he will officially join the Golden State Warriors today. He averaged 11.2 ppg and 7.2 rpg last year, so he’s possibly a third center for your fantasy team. Also keep an eye on what, if any, effect this will have on Andris Biedrins and Al Harrington. Don Nelson has had a very inconsistent rotation this year, so I would wait a couple of weeks before deciding what impact this signing really has. ...

... . -Chris Mullin, you stupid bastard . Chris Webber will bring nothing to the Warriors but a propensity for sucking and a guaranteed box of Callahan Auto Parts brake pads to apply to the offense. He can't rebound or play defense which fits in just fine with the Warriors as presently constructed but will he be able to stay on the floor? Is the Golden State fast break going to be -1? Subtract the public relations perks and the move still sucks. Except of course for Kelly Dwyer and ...

... the end of the season for that. However, remember the good old days in the 1990s when the Warriors dominated? Remember the Rookie of the Year Chris Webber and the younger-looking coach Don Nelson? Chris Webber may be sitting at home enjoying his NBA Live 2008, and Donnie might have gained a few more wrinkles, but remember the above picture when Chris Webber would be coming into NBA games off the Warriors bench? Well, nostalgia better kick in, because this will become reality! The ESPN has reported that Don Nelson is bringing back Chris Webber to the Bay Area! It's a done deal! ...
