Here it is the penultimate week of the NFL regular season. The Raiders are in the midst of yet another double digit loss season but show encouraging signs for the future unlike the last four double digit loss seasons. This week the Raiders travel to Jacksonville to take on the playoff bound Jaguars. This will be a tough road game for the Raiders, but one they may be able to pull out if they ...
Jags destroy Oakland, clinch playoffs —
Jacksonville Jaguars
There was some concern here at Jaguar’s Journal that Jacksonville might overlook the Oakland Raider’s in week 16. Well, there wasn’t too much to be concerned about as the Jaguars destroyed the Raiders 49-11. With the win, Jacksonville guarantees themselves a spot in the AFC playoffs as the number five seed. Jaguars sole focus this week should be the Oakland Raiders —
Jacksonville Jaguars
With all of the talk swirling about playoff possibilities, and which opponent represents the best match up against the Jacksonville Jaguars in January, one thing tends to get overlooked: the Jaguars have not even secured a playoff spot yet.
They can accomplish that task this Sunday when the 4-10 Oakland Raiders come to town by winning the game, or they can sneak in the back door with a ...
McCown will start for Oakland; Russell will play —
NFL - Sports Rumors - Yahoo! Sports
Oakland Raiders coach Lane Kiffin insists No.1 draft choice JaMarcus Russell will play against Jacksonville Sunday. He just doesn't know when or how long. "Josh (McCown) will start and JaMarcus will play, and hopefully, if the scenarios go right, he'll play in the first half,'' Kiffin told the San Francisco Chronicle. Earlier in the week, Kiffin indicated Russell would start and McCown ...
Looking ahead to the first round for Jacksonville —
Jacksonville Jaguars
I’d hate to jump the gun, but I am a confident Jacksonville fan so I don’t see a problem with looking ahead to the playoffs. Don’t get my wrong; I am still a bit skeptic about getting a W against the Oakland Raiders this week, but with them starting rookie QB JaMarcus Russell, I don’t see the Raiders putting up too many points. Besides, I can look ahead, the Jaguars can’t. With all this being ...

_________________________________________________ THE BABY ARM CAN It's week 15..... Excellent slate of NFL games yesterday. Ten out of the thirteen games were decided by 10 points or less. Indianapolis and Cleveland barely escaped games against Oakland and Buffalo. While Dallas, Pittsburgh, and Seattle weren't so lucky against Philadelphia, Jacksonville and Carolina. I already alluded ...
