The special Independence Day match between the Eastern and Western Conference leaders turned out to be the match that produced the MLS Player of the Week.   Adam Cristman scored both of the Revs’ goals, giving the team their second consecutive POW award, after Steve Ralston was voted the honor for Week 14. July 5 --- MLSNet.com: The stunning goal Saturday night came in the 88th minute; it was Razov's third of the season and 112th of his career. --- More importantly, the 1-0 win thrust Chivas USA to the top of the Western Conference, now tied with the other LA team the Galaxy. --- They are even on 21 points and will play Thursday in the second SuperClasico of the season. (from MVN Soccer) After the conclusion of Week 15, both the Galaxy and Chivas USA top the Western Conference table with identical 6-6-3 records, each with 21 points. --- Saturday night at the HDC, Chivas USA eeked out a 1-0 victory over the Earthquakes, thanks to an 88th minute goal by Ante Razov. --- Galaxy had failed to add to their points total, losing to Revolution (also at HDC) on July 4.
