... Some are citing these sorts of quick and overhyped fights as what will perhaps prevent UFC from gaining the larger audience it seems to be finally realizing. I disagree; these sorts of knockouts are exactly why the sport is so thrilling. I could be wrong here, but the average pay-per-view buyer isn’t going to be well-versed in the nuance of Mixed Martial Arts. He wants to see some dudes beat the crap out of each other, and what is more immediately rewarding than a lightning-fast knockout punch?
