 What Happens At Halftime?
I teased in one post-game commentary that Iavaroni must have had a stirring halftime speech because the Grizzlies came out and played uninspired ball after intermission and proceeded to lose a game they could have won against a team they were competing with for ping-pong balls. I was only kidding at the time. Now I wonder just how kidding that comment was. Against Denver, a team that ... [link]

... self-deprecation, and knowledge that JVG does. I'll take JVG over any color analyst in the NBA. And yeah, I mean Hubie. With Malice laughs at our pitiful attempts to woe the Lakers. The Pistons could play in the West, on Mars, underwater, in Afghanistan, and they'd still kick your ass. You know, Ziller was kind of quiet there for a few months. But lately he's been NBA-Jam-esque on fire. 3 Shades wants to know what in the 3 shades of blue blazes is going on in the locker room at halftime. ...

On the Grizzlies

... 3SoB: That is a great question. I just wrote a blog today about how the Grizzlies have come out of halftimes. In the last 5 games they have had the halftime lead three times (twice more than 13 points) and lost two of the three games. The one game they won was against New York and they led by 19 at halftime before the Knicks cut the lead to one point midway thru the 3rd quarter. Conversely they have been trailing at halftime twice in the last 5 games and won both of those games. So is it poor coaching or poor execution? At this point we don't know. One thing is for sure, ...

Sonics Last Stand?

Twenty-three days. That’s all that stands between the Supersonics and relocation. As Canadians, we’ve experienced the Grizzlies moving away down south to Memphis, the Expos moving away from Montreal to become the Washington Nationals and a handful of NHL teams leaving to go south in the ’90s. In the wake of each move, the local fans were left wondering “Why?”

Post Game Thoughts - Sacramento

Mike Miller may want to tweak his new shoes just a bit. Miller was wearing his personally designed shoes for the first time in Sacramento and had what can best be described as an off-night fouling out with 16 pts in only 32 minutes. Mike did hit the ...

Bob Delaney, Your Check's in the Mail

Seriously, Delaney's crew must have thought they were still in Oakland , because this one was full of make-up calls for Northern California. Monta Ellis died for our sins. Memphis's first big run: In the second quarter, when the Kings couldn't score with a Garcia/Martin/Salmons/Artest/Hawes lineup. No movement; the only ball movement was passes between the three guards out on the perimeter...
