Cashman stays, and that’s good

So, Brian Cashman is staying as general manager of the New York Yankees.
Does that make today a good day or a bad one, Yankees fans?
Personally, I am glad he is staying. Cashman is far from perfect, and in retrospect he probably screwed up the Johan Santana situation, but I do agree with his philosophy of increasing the organization’s commitment to its farm system and using its young players as more than trade chips.
Besides, I am not sure there was a better alternative for the Yankees than having Cashman continue. I sure didn’t want Hank ...
