Rookie OT Chris Williams still can’t practice with a bad back. No matter how long Williams is out, John Tait won’t move to left tackle . QB Rex Grossman had a big day in practice, but it isn’t clear whether he’s leading in the quarterback competition. Grossman was especially proficient throwing long to Devin Hester. Said offensive coordinator Ron Turner of Grossman’s competition with Kyle Orton, “The first couple preseason games, at least, they’re both going to have an opportunity to show what they can do, get equal reps and all that stuff.” ...
