All the uproar created over the release of an image of Olympian Michael Phelps hitting a bong is a bit perplexing to the Great & Powerful one. Growing up as I did in the 60s and 70s, young people smoking weed at that time was as common as young people today playing video games.

    I'm not a Phelps fan, but ridiculous amount of negative attention this has drawn is f-ing ridiculous.  And now cops are looking into criminal charges?  From a f-ing picture?

    Well if they are going that far, what about the 500,000 pictures that kids post of themselves daily on MySpace smoking pot.  Why aren't we busting them?  Oh yeah, because they won't grab the public's attention for cops worldwide.  

    Glad to see he sponsors are hanging tight too.

      Excellent point dude. Hell, 25% of the nation could probably be arrested. Criminal charges for an act of this nature only proves favoritism and the pursuant agenda of local authorities.
