In reading an excellent article this morning by Peter Bendix of Beyond the Boxscore , he has found through Pitch f/x data (via Josh Kalk’s blog) that C.C. Sabathia has been throwing fewer and fewer sliders with each of his starts this season. Why would Sabathia go away from his bread and butter "out" pitch?
