Even with the excuse of having Chris “Beanie” Wells sitting out the game with a foot injury, the fact that Ohio State needed a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to pull out a 23-14 victory over Ohio on Saturday is pretty shocking. Especially considering the following facts: Ohio committed six turnovers They were playing with their back-up quarterback for most of the game ...Struggling against Ohio, OSU will not beat USC

We have seen Ohio State choke before and that is what they almost did today. With their best chance of winning the national title in years the Buckeyes almost blew their chances today against the Ohio Bobcats. OSU was losing in the 4th quarter but they rallied back to win. If they can barely win against Ohio how are they going to beat the almighty USC? Let us all hope that USC beats OSU badly ...Buckeyes Take Ugly Win Over Bobcats

Ohio State fell behind instate rival Ohio University by as much as eight points in the second half before rallying for a 26-14 victory. The Buckeyes sputtered on offense but managed to come up with five turnovers, including an important fumbled punt recovery by senior Shaun Lane. The All Day Saturday Live Blog: Week 2

I totally need another title for this. Tell me in the comments. Ohio State is STRUGG-A-LING. Someone named Boo Jackson is breaking their defense down on the scramble, and the basic spread Ohio is running has them flustered and leaving open holes all over the place. Touchdown, Ohio! Awful snap squirted into the end zone and the Bobcats fall on it. Things are going poorly all over for Jim ...Halftime Panic? - Ohio Leads Ohio State 7-6

Ohio State might be missing Beanie Wells today, but the lack of performance from the Ohio State offensive line makes it unlikely that even a completely healthy Wells would be able to do much to help. Ohio University put together a 72-yard drive in the first half to take the lead 7-3. On that drive, [...]College Football Week 2

This weekend's match-up with Ohio U. should provide a better gauge of where Ohio State is at this early stage of the 2008 season. Even though Youngstown State didn't put up much resistance, it was evident that several young players showed that they were ready for prime time. Ohio State officially announced that star tailback Chris ‘Beanie’ Wells is out against Ohio University this Saturday, leaving Buckeye fans crying. The program is horribly vague, at best, about his injury. ESPN’s Joe Schad on a broadcast yesterday described the complicated foot problem thusly: “a soft tissue injury to the big toe on his right foot.” Got all that? ...Buckeyes will be without Beanie vs. Bobcats

There’s a good chance that a one-legged Chris Wells could probably run for more than 100 yards against Ohio on Saturday, but we won’t get a chance to find that out. Wells won’t take the field on Saturday when #3 Ohio State takes on Ohio , as he hasn’t practiced at all this week after injuring his foot in the third quarter of Ohio State ’s 43-0 win over Youngstown State last Saturday. ...Game Preview: Ohio
