The U.S. women’s soccer team sought redemption and got it after beating Brazil 1 -0 to win the gold medal. Shawn Johnson turned in an amazing performance on the dreaded balance beam to win a gold medal And, of course, there was Michael Phelps. There was a lot that went right for the U.S. in the 2008 Olympics. But there was also a lot that went wrong.
