I’m going to disagree with Geoff Baker’s most recent blog post in a second, so let me begin with the standard caveat; I like Geoff, he’s a good guy, he’s a good beat writer, and the Times baseball coverage has improved dramatically since he was hired. The writer's of USSMariner took that claim on to show that the reality of the situation wasn't matching the explanation.  That, in truth, there probably was no change from any purported mechanical change.  That Silva was sinmply experiencing better luck and getting better results.  You can read the full post here. ...
