When it comes to tipping, LeBron goes Scrooge McDuck
We are all witnesses. But not everything about the LeBron is worth witnessing. Sure, he has the $400,000 car, Jay-Z in his corner, and Phil Knight wrapped around his diamond pinkie ring. But witness how His Greatness treats the little people, and you may begin to see the virtue of Brendan Haywood's hard fouls. One of LeBron's favorite places to dine is XO Prime Steaks on West Sixth. Its mix of ... [link]

LeBron James Has Obviously Never Been A Waiter [King James]
Published 5/8/2008 by DAULERIO at Deadspin
Anbody who's ever been a waiter in their life realizes that it can be a dreadfully demeaning job. Regardless of how much tip money you collect for five hours of work (most of which usually go back into the restaurant during the post-shift decompression time at the bar) there's always a moment when you say to yourself, "This is why I should've never been an English major." The poor server who had the unfortunate experience of waiting on LeBron at Cleveland's XO Prime Steaks during a recent late night pop-in probably had this thought. According to the Cleveland Scene, this is how it all went down: LeBron pulls up in his Mercedes outside XO. People stop ...

LeBron Sucks At Tipping
Published 5/8/2008 at FanIQ Blog
For whatever reason, people seem to be looking for ways to hate LeBron these days. Personally, I hate him because he shot 2-18 from the field in Game one of the Boston/Cavs series and am now out $50, but some people are looking for more than that. For those people, here you go. LeBron is a horrible, horrible tipper. According to Cleveland Scene, which is a web site I'm too bored to do any research on, LeBron habitually under tips at the XO Prime Steakhouse in Cleveland. And he's done it so much, a waiter there even quit in disgust. So here are the details. According to a source, a peer recently quit after tiring of LeBron ...

Another Reason to Dislike LeBron
Published 5/9/2008 by cuppettcj at Bullets Forever
... [Ed. note: From the FanPosts.  I'll have something up later today, until then, enjoy cuppetcj delivering big time with the goods on this one.  If you want to leave him a tip for this effort, that's fine by me, but if you're going to go cheap on him, don't bother. -Jake] As if we needed another reason to dislike LeBron, it turns out that DeShawn is not the only guy who gets shat on by "the King." It went down like this: LeBron pulls up in his Mercedes outside XO. People stop and try not to stare, but c'mon, it's LeBron ...

Note To Waiters: Get In Touch With Blogs
Published 6/11/2008 by Robbie Gillies at RealClearSports - Blog
Just over a month ago the Cleveland Scene reported that LeBron James dropped around $800 at a steakhouse and left a measly $10 tip. Yeah, that's right, about a 1% tip as opposed to the typical 15-20%. Obviously, when news like this comes out the blogs are all over it. Deadspin among many others picked up the story. Well, apparently it was all just one big misunderstanding. A representative for LeBron said he left the "appropriate tip", but the server misread it. Really? If I were waiting on anyone who spent 800 bucks and I thought they tipped me $10, you better believe I would be looking at every ink drop on that bill. I would be showing it to the other waiters, ...
