I'm curious what sort of accounting goes into how NBA attendance numbers are recorded. Whatever technique is used, I'm guessing it'd be enough to send me to prison if I tried the same tricks on my tax return, because I've been to many, many so-called "sold-out" games that featured thousands of open seats.
