... Chicago-Sun Times is reporting that they believe Jermaine Dye will be moved and the cost will be a prospect two years away. If that is the case, I'll go on record now and say I'm all for it. I have waivered on obtaining Dye because of my concerns over his price, but if he cost say a Kevin Mulvey then I'm all for it. It's quite clear that the Mets need offense and that Dye would be a nice piece to the puzzle. Yes, he's 33 y/o and is only hitting .212. First of all in my opinion a player isn't considered older until they're 35 entering the season. Secondly Dye is a much better hitter then .212 he's on a bad team in a horrible line-up with no protection. Dye is a year removed from hitting 44HRs and being voted fifth on the MVP list with a lifetime BA of .277. ...
