I'll Show You The Bronx (NSFW) As the "God Bless America" imbroglio reaches the mainstream media , footage of another ugly police incident at Yankee Stadium has emerged. Via the blog Walkoff Walk , here's a YouTube clip showing two cops using force to subdue a fan they were in the process of ejecting, and while we don't know the context of what precipitated the incident, it's as distressing to see the excesses of the NYPD encroach on the ballpark as it is to read about them. Seriously, what the fuck? From beyond the grave, here's some much-needed ...
Yankee Stadium Cops Get Physical With Mouthy Red Sox Fan
Published 8/28/2008 at FanHouse
... That's from last night's Yankees/Red Sox game in New York (hat tip to Walkoff Walk), but it's especially fitting today on the heels of reading about over-aggressive cops enforcing the little known (err, non-existent) ...
Fights at Yankee Stadium are always fun, especially with the NYPD

I guess the story is a Red Sox fan gets thrown out and her friend objects. Friend argues with NYPD and policewoman tries to restrain her and fails miserably. Two other cops come in to subdue the confrontational fan. BTW, don’t you have to pass a physical fitness test to become a cop? What is it like a 40 minute mile?

It’s too bad they have to rip down Yankee Stadium.
And fans didn’t take the final Sox-Yanks series very well. In fact, they acted out and we couldn’t be happier. Like The Weather Channel hoping for devastating hurricanes for ratings, this site lives for drunken debauchery such as what went on this week in the Bronx.
Without further debate or stupid discussion, here are the “Top Moments From The Red Sox Final Visit To Yankee Stadium.” ...
Five Things Less Likely Than Cristian Guzman Hitting for the Cycle
Published 8/29/2008 at Stet Sports Blog
... . The cycle is a rarity in baseball, and in honor of a team where injuries are the most consistent aspect of its season, here’s five things that are more rare than Fat Boy Cris hitting for cycle. 5. Fighting the law…and winning. - This dumb broad must’ve felt some kind of way because it was a Yankee cop. Or because she was black. Or because she was drunk. 4. The Nationals sweeping anybody. - Prior to August, the Nats were more likely to appear on ...

... Suck Does Not Equal Success: Carl Pavano crawls out of the woodwork to make his first start since April 9, 2007 and just his 20th in four years as a Yankee; that's $2 million per start. Unsurprisingly, neither his return nor a sweep of the Orioles are enough to save the Yankees' season, as they drop the first two games of a key series with the Red Sox. With closing time looming at the House That Ruth Built, the appalingly un-American behavior of the jackbooted thugs patrolling the stadium should illustrate to Hank Steinbrenner that the players on the field ...
