According to the folks at ESPN.com , the Beloved Purple have signed veteran QB Gus Frerotte to a contract quarterback to back up Tarvaris Jackson and (most likely) mentor whatever QB they select in the middle rounds of the 2008 NFL Draft as well. The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to a deal with veteran QB Gus Frerotte. Frerotte was a back-up with the St. Louis Rams last season.
