Baseball is a game of streaks, much more than football, in my opinion. Any team can catch fire at any time, while the football season is too short and spread out to be susceptible to those types of long winning/losing streaks. Look at the Washington Nationals. Even they caught fire in 2009, while the Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns are not likely to catch lightning in a bottle more than in a game or two throughout the season. ...
