Why Do We Baby Kevin Garnett?
Let's get this out of the way. First off, I'm not a Kevin Garnett "hater." While I can in no way deny that I hate Kobe Bryant with the passion of a thousand love songs, KG doesn't inspire anything but intrigue in me. I rooted for him in Minnesota, just like everyone else. I was happy that he's getting his chance for a ring in Boston with this ridiculous Disneyland of talent he's found ... [link]

HoopsHype - Dennis Johnson is severely underappreciated. Ball Don’t Lie - Things collapsing under the weight of fat kids will never get old in my book. The Denver Post - JR Smith’s strong play of late is going to make him an ...

Who Really Tanked?
Published 3/19/2008 by redsarmy at RedsArmy.com: The Voice Of Celtics Fans
... Hardwood Paroxysm asks why everyone babies Kevin Garnett.  I get where he’s going with it… but I think this notion of tanking is universally dismissed.  Now… if Sam Cassell didn’t hit that big shot against San Antonio and the Celtics lost… and someone wanted to pull out the “KG doesn’t want to take the big shot” discussion… then his defenders (of which I would have been one) could be accused of overlooking some things and “babying” him.  But this comes down to a player with a ...

... : "I don't think that. I don't like that so much. I don't like that. It was more like KG tanked it (for missing the final five games of the regular season). I think the other guys still wanted to play. But it sure changed the team and didn't make us (as good)." Now, some people think that experts and fans baby Garnett, and maybe we do...to a degree. But in this case, I'm going to let KG's intensity and work ethic speak for themselves. I mean, Garnett missed only 23 games in 12 seasons as a Timberwolf. Dude straight up brought it. ...

Timberwolves Owner: “KG tanked it” last season

With the Minnesota Timberwolves now Kevin Garnett-less , and posting an abysmal 16-50 record, is it any wonder that there are cries from the local media for the team to start mailing it in… losing on purpose, in order to garner the best chance when it comes time to select the ping pong balls for the upcoming draft. When word from the media made its way to Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor , he ...

Glen Taylor Is Pathetic

Despite the Celtics big win over the rockets last night, I'm feeling a bit angry and spiteful this morning. I don't know if it's the fact that I've watched Bruce Bowen dropkick Wally Szczerbiak in the face about 359 times since yesterday, or that I had to watch Luis Scola play basketball for about 40 minutes last night (more on him in a later post). Whatever the reason, there is something I ...
